Day 1
To begin this experience, we depart at 10:30 a.m. from the office or hotel, then visit the Train Cemetery located on the outskirts of the city of Uyuni. We are now at the gateway to the immense Uyuni Salt Flat; in the first kilometers we will find natural water springs and salt harvesting areas, as well as the world’s first salt hotel, Playa Blanca, which today is an open museum. It is time to travel along the salt highway for about 70 km to visit Incahuasi Island, located in the center of the salt flat, where we will see enormous cacti and Andean vegetation, and we will be able to reach the summit to enjoy a spectacular 360º view. Next, we head toward the southwestern shore of the salt flat, where we will enjoy the sunset, and then enter through Puerto Chuvica into the Nor Lípez province. From there, we continue along a dirt road to the village of Colcha K. Accommodation in a salt hostel.
