RESERVATION AND CANCELLATION POLICY
Please read the booking and cancellation conditions carefully before confirming your reservation.
- High-altitude services involve health risks in case of altitude sickness (altitude sickness), therefore passengers with certain physical or health conditions should not use these services, including:
- Embarazadas en cualquier edad de gestación. Pregnant women at any stage of pregnancy.
- Older adults (65 years or older).
- Patients with heart disease, lung disease, uncontrolled hypertension, a history of embolism, stroke, pulmonary or cerebral edema, or any serious illness involving the respiratory or circulatory system.
- The company reserves the right not to take passengers in these conditions or children under 6 years of age on the excursion to the Uyuni salt flats or under 12 years of age for services at altitudes above 4,500 meters above sea level in Chile.
- The company's drivers and guides are not doctors; they cannot administer medication to passengers in any situation.
- For this reason, it is always recommended to start high-altitude tours from the lowest point. If traveling to Bolivia, passengers have the responsibility to know if they are susceptible to altitude sickness, having been or going to altitudes above 4,500 meters above sea level before traveling. If they are susceptible to altitude sickness, they should seek the opinion of a specialist doctor before undertaking the tour to Bolivia.
- The company is not responsible for passengers who have the aforementioned conditions and decide to travel anyway.
- The services booked are valid for the date, time, and location indicated on the voucher that will be sent to you upon confirmation of your reservation. If the passenger is not present at the location or fails to arrive at the designated location at the indicated time, regardless of the reason, the total cost of the service will be forfeited. Cancellations or changes will only be accepted with the following reference, as applicable:
- 4 hours before the service departure when it starts in the afternoon.
- 4 hours before the office closes (9:00 PM) in the case of early morning tours or tours that start the next day before noon.
- Before 2:00 PM on the day before the service if it is a tour to Bolivia.
- Cancellations or modifications made more than 48 hours in advance can be done by email; if less than 48 hours in advance, cancellations must be made in person at our office.
- In case of cancellation of service, 85% of the total value will be refunded; if it is the first change, there will be no surcharge, only up to a second date change per service will be accepted.
- If the service includes hotels, the hotel penalty fee will be deducted first, if applicable, then 85% of the total service cost will be refunded.
- The company will not allow passengers onto vehicles who are under the influence of alcohol or any substance that visibly affects their behavior or compromises the safety of other members of the service or staff, without refund of the amount paid.
- Passengers are asked not to bring valuables or fragile items on tours. In addition to taking care of their belongings, the company will not be responsible for losses or damages caused by negligence on the part of the passenger.
- The company reserves the right to modify schedules, routes or cancel services due to adverse weather conditions, political problems or conditions beyond the company's control that prevent the normal execution of the service; in the event of cancellation by the company, the refund will be 100%.
- The prices listed do not include entrance fees to national parks. Some of these parks offer discounts for children, seniors, Chilean citizens, or students. When paying for their tickets directly, they must show some credential that proves they qualify for the discount at the time of payment. The entrance fees listed in the programs are for reference only (they may increase according to the criteria of each national park or nature reserve).
- Reservations are only confirmed upon payment of 15% of the service value; the difference must be paid in cash (US dollars or Chilean pesos) no later than 2:00 PM the day before the service at our office located at Caracoles Street #362-C, San Pedro de Atacama.
