3-day tour starting in Uyuni and ending in Uyuni or San Pedro de Atacama, in regular (shared) service
Day 1
To begin this experience, we depart from the office at 10:30 a.m., then we visit the Train Cemetery located on the outskirts of the city of Uyuni, and afterward we head toward the village of Colchani, whose main activity is salt harvesting, where we will visit a salt processing factory. We are now at the gateway to the immense Uyuni Salt Flat; in the first kilometers we will find natural water springs and salt harvesting areas, as well as the world’s first salt hotel, Playa Blanca, today an open museum. It is time to travel along the salt highway for about 70 km to visit Incahuasi Island, located in the center of the salt flat, where we will see enormous cacti and Andean vegetation, and we will be able to reach the summit to enjoy a spectacular 360º view. Next, we head toward the southwestern shore of the salt flat, where we will enjoy the sunset, and then enter through Puerto Chuvica into the Nor Lípez province; from there we continue along a dirt road to the village of San Juan. Accommodation in a salt hostel or similar, dinner.
Day 2
With the sunrise we headed through the salar de chiguana where we will find the railway line and an impressive landscape of extinct volcanoes to enter the great Andes mountain range, we will visit the Ollague volcano viewpoint, we advance towards the lagunas Cañapa, Hedionda, chiarkota y honda where flamingos live, and where you can appreciate the high Andean flora and fauna such as vicuñas, llamas, and vizcachas, to name a few, we will arrive at the Siloli Desert to visit the Stone Tree and then visit the Laguna Colorada located within the Eduardo Abaroa Andean Flora and Fauna National Reserve. Next, we head to Huayllajara accommodation, lodging, dinner.
Day 3
Before dawn we head to an impressive altitude of almost 5,000 meters above sea level to visit the Sol de Mañana geothermal field, afterwards we will visit the aguas termales de polques en donde se encuentran pequeñas piscinas con aguas de 37 grados de temperatura ideal para el relajamiento del cuerpo a continuación podremos visitar el desierto de Dalí Named for its incredible landscape reminiscent of paintings by the famous Spanish painter Salvador Dalí, continuing along the route we will arrive at the green and white lagoon located at the foot of impressive volcanoes such as the LicancaburIf you are going to the neighboring country of Chile, we head to the Hito Cajones border crossing where you will transfer by bus to San Pedro de Atacama, 47 km away. On the return trip to the city of Uyuni, we stop at poblado de Villa Mar For lunch, we then visited a viewpoint on the east side of the Valley of the Rocks to continue along the poblado minero de San Cristóbal and the city of Uyuni, approximate arrival time 6:00 pm.
